Need help now? In an emergency, call 911. For urgent, confidential help, these pages keep their 24/7 crisis lines current:
- Center for Advocacy, Resources & Education (CARE) confidential advocate: all UC Davis affiliates, including postdocs. Sexual assault, dating violence, stalking.
- Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) crisis care & urgent help: registered students (undergraduate and graduate). Mental-health crisis counseling.
- Aggie Mental Health: students. Full list of crisis and support lines.
Dr. Harvey is a Responsible Employee. She must report potential violations of University policy related to sexual harassment, sexual violence, discrimination, or harassment that are brought to her attention. If you need a confidential resource, several are listed below. Please verify their confidentiality yourself, before sharing.
Get support
Counseling through Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) and Aggie Mental Health is for registered students (undergraduate and graduate). Postdocs and other employees use ASAP for counseling; CARE and the Ombuds serve everyone.

- Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP): employees and academic appointees, including postdocs, GSRs and TAs. Confidential counseling.
- Office of the Ombuds: everyone. Confidential problem-solving and conflict management.
- Center for Advocacy, Resources & Education (CARE): everyone, including postdocs. Advocates and a 24/7 help line (confidential; sexual harassment and violence).
- LGBTQIA Resource Center: community counselors and wellness workshops.
